The top score is 240 points. The licensee will have three attempts to achieve a minimum score. If the licensee does not qualify\, remedial training will recommended for the licensee. The class takes place at a local range. Our school offers the course in Central and Southeast Florida. The training takes place several times during the month at the various locations. Look at our class schedule for available dates. \nFrom time to time we add additional training dates. In the event that you do not see a suitable date call us. We will assist you and check for possible alternatives. \n**Pre-Requisite**Must hold a valid State of Florida Security Officer G License.** \n\nOur package consists of the following: \n\nProof of Payment\nProficiency certificatificate sent via email wihtin 72 hours\, as required DOL.  \n\n\nDivision of Licensing Note to licensee:\nBy removing the issue date from your G license\, the Division intends to clarify\, when a licensee is to complete the 4 hour annual retraining requirement and report it. The reporting to the Division must be prior to the month and day which appears as the expiration date. \nDuring the first year of licensure\, licensees must complete and report their annual 4 hour retraining by the same month and day upon which their license will expire the following year. \nDuring the second year of licensure\, licensees must complete and report their annual 4 hour retraining prior to the actual expiration date of the license. \nAs a Class “K” Licensed Instructor\, I stress requirements and dates in Class “G” training to prevent license suspension. \nThe example below\, shows the required submission dates: \nIf your DATE OF LICENSE EXPIRATION is January 11\, 2026\n• You MUST complete and report your YEAR ONE retraining by January 11\, 2025\n• You MUST complete and report your YEAR TWO retraining after January 11\, 2025 but\nbefore January 11\, 2026 \nPlease note the following important points:\n\nIf you fail to complete and report YEAR ONE training during the first year of the valid term of your license. Your license will automatically be suspended. The license will remain in suspended status\, until you provide the division with an original CFP. The CFP must reflect completion of YEAR ONE training forthe first year.\nIf you fail to complete and report YEAR TWO training during the second year of the valid term of your license\, you will not be able to renew your license until you have provided the division with a CFP reflecting completion of YEAR TWO training. To avoid a late fee\, your renewal application must be received by the Division of Licensing on or before the expiration date of your license.\nIf the four-hour annual re-qualifying training isn’t completed before YEAR ONE or YEAR TWO anniversary dates\, or license expiration\, the entire 28-hour initial training will be required. Only after completing the training will your suspended or expiring license be reinstated or renewed.

The link to this particularly important law is provided to our concealed weapon firearm license holders and applicants to ensure access to the most up-to-date statutory language outlining acceptable use of force by Floridians. \nFirearm Safety Tips for CCW carriers\n\n\nThese simple steps may prevent needless and tragic injury or death so often associated with the careless storage and handling of firearms. Responsible and informed firearm owners use these storage and handling methods\, without exception\, to ensure the safety of those in the home. \n\nNever store or handle a loaded firearm in the home. Tragedy can occur in only one instance of negligence.\nKeep a trigger-locking device on the firearm\, in addition to keeping it locked away\, as an additional safety factor. There is no such thing as overemphasizing firearm safety.\nLock firearms and ammunition in separate locations. This is a good backup precaution.\nNever point a firearm at anyone\, loaded or unloaded. Too often the unintentional discharge of guns\, even those believed to be unloaded\, has killed or wounded innocent persons.\nEducate everyone in the home about firearms safety — especially children. Firearms are not toys. Emphasize the danger in\, and outside\, the home. Give reinforcement training frequently.\n\nFirearm owners must always remember that a firearm may protect life\, but it can also be a potential deadly threat to innocent persons. The proper storing and handling of a firearm must always be foremost in the mind of the owner who is responsible for the safety of those in the home. \nSection 790.174\, Florida Statutes\, requires a loaded firearm in the home to be stored in a locked box container or secured with a trigger lock if the owner reasonably knows that a child under the age of 16 can gain access to the firearm. A violation of this law is a misdemeanor. \nNote: This class is not a firearms training class. We offer firearms training as an option. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPossible Reasons for Ineligibility for a concelead weapon firearm license\n\nThe physical inability to handle a firearm safely.\nA felony conviction (unless civil and firearm rights have been restored by the convicting authority).\nHaving adjudication withheld or sentence suspended on a felony or misdemeanor crime of violence unless three years have elapsed since probation or other conditions set by the court have been fulfilled.\nA conviction for a misdemeanor crime of violence in the last three years.\nA conviction for violation of controlled substance laws or multiple arrests for such offenses.\nA record of drug or alcohol abuse.\nTwo or more DUI convictions within the previous three years.\nBeing committed to a mental institution or adjudged incompetent or mentally defective.\nFailing to provide proof of proficiency with a firearm.\nHaving been issued a domestic violence injunction or an injunction against repeat violence that is currently in force.\nRenouncement of U.S. citizenship.\nA dishonorable discharge from the armed forces.\nBeing a fugitive from justice.\n\nClick here Disqualifying Conditions.
